WE ARE PROUD OF NOBEL PRIZES FOR ‘INDIAN ROOTS WITH FOREIGN BRAINS’
One Jurist with Brit-Indian roots and South African
cerebrum has been awarded Nobel Peace Prize-2026 for reasons known to member
oldies of the Committee alone. It is quite possible that the lady with the
accolade herself may not be aware of precise reason as to why she has been
singled out for the Prize as had been in the case of Barack Hussein Obama,
ex-US President. Poor Donald Trump lost another chance of winning the prize.
Woe betide on PM Modi and MEA Jaishanker who have been in the forefront in
spoiling his claims to the award by repeatedly contradicting his ‘feather in
the orange cap’ of Operation Sindoor ceasefire. Since the lady carries a
Keralite surname, Malayalis all over the world have every right to perform
Panjabi Bhangda, Giddha on every street and corner for the burst of joy.
When Amartya
Sen was awarded Nobel Economics Prize, people burst into bouts and
fits of joy owing to his Indian roots. Students of Delhi School Of Economics
went ecstatic, danced on campus.
However, in addition to Robindro-joy, there
was lot of tension in WBengal. Bengali Bhadralok-intellectuals were tense,
asking wherever possible often leading to shouting matches (as usual !!),
struggling to find out whether Amartya Sens passport was Indian or British !!
Finally when Amartya himself confirmed his passport was Indian, Robindro-joy
was boundless, spearheaded deep into infinity !! Then they claimed, Bengalis command
privileged right to Nobel Prizes !!
When Panjabi University, Patiala conferred
upon Nobel Laureate Dr. Hargovind Khorana an honorary D.Sc., he remarked after
the Convocation was over, "I do not need this honour."
Tamilians burst into Bharat-Natyam with joy
over Tamil connection of US Vice President Kamala Harris. The lady is complete
and absolute foreigner. As VP, she struck hard at us and the same media,
singing paeans for her before, began berating her, calling her a nasty
Dravidian...and what not.
Telugu links of Usha Vance, wife of US Vice
President too were greeted with similar pangs of merriment in Telugu belt
before it became yet another day as usual.
Being magnificent Self-enemies, we
Bharatiya-s refuse to learn from history. National Self-esteem Quotient is undoubtedly
low but deeply entrenched in the journey of evolution towards its redemption.
