I wish and pray my humble missive reaches you in your sanguine mood and ambiance. 

After 33 year long stay in the tiny ‘Kingdom’ now known as NCR of Delhi, now presided over by your majesty, I am bidding my adieu to this holy piece of Bharata Mata patiently holding and bearing with the largest concentration of corrupt crooks, traitors and looters of the nation. As if this is not enough, icing of the cake is widespread rowdyism, fierce road-rage violence, fake snobbery, vulgur display of wealth and what not. 

Your predecessor (I just wish to erase his name from my memory) had hoodwinked Delhiites to develop it into another Shanghai and left it filthier than Karachi/Lahore after a long stint. A capital bragging of highest Per Capita Income and highest literacy rate, fell into his trap so easily that it stunned all other level-headed ones. I am not inclined to blame BJP for being out of power in Delhi for decades as Delhiites indeed, didn’t deserve anything better. Delhi deserved them and they deserved Delhi. 

Your Start-up had been in right earnest but now you too, appear to be falling into the mesmerizing trap of photo-opportunities, adulation, sycophancy and monarchical disposition. All that is self-destructive. Just avoid that.

Roads in Delhi shall look like Bollywoodian cheeks free from garbage dumps only when your ministers start travelling on these on self-driven bikes instead of sedans and limousines. The day they start working and living like Sanghi Pracharaks, Delhi shall certainly compete Helsinki, Copenhagen and Shanghai.

Do you remember the grandiloquent declaration on inauguration of Metro Railway in Delhi, ‘It shall reduce crowding on roads and DTC buses’ ? What’s the latest now ? Not only Delhi roads but also metro rails too are overcrowded. No Master Plan can succeed without De-Congestion Policy as our metro towns are now living hellholes. Do you possess the ‘Nari-Shakti’ and Matra-Shakti’ to herald to Delhiites in highest decibels like a tigress zealously guarding her newly born cubs, “If it is not necessary for you to settle in Delhi, it should be absolutely necessary for you NOT to settle in Delhi, go back to your hometowns to settle there” and completey ban construction of all housing projects in Delhi ? Every other development move shall be reduced to a pathetic mockery by burgeoning migrants and newer settlers in thousands. 

But how will you culturise rowdy Delhiites whom I find worst of the lot in the country ? RSS and VHP are capable of doing that but will they ? Will you prevail upon them to undertake the task instead of being busily engaged in smiling photoshoots, self-adulation and sycophancy ? 

I shall be watching your performance from a distance, from my hometown.

POLITICAL PATRIARCHY IS SACROSANCT FOR POLITICIANS

131 st Constitution Amendment Bill collapsed in Lok Sabha in spite of extra-ordinarily brilliant track record of political management exhibited by PM/HM team so far like abrogation of Article 370, Waqf Act, Triple Talaq etc. If it was a political gimmick to tackle state assembly elections, it was not at all politically wise to proceed in this manner and postpone the issue for years.   Why was it introduced so suddenly ?
